1. Black Film Space x cliveRd. Proof of Concept Short Film Grant (National – Black Filmmakers)

This $8,000 grant seeks one short film script (under 20 pages) serving as a teaser/preview for a feature film with narratives that feature nature—as setting, character, obstacle, or theme. The winner also receives an optional complimentary filming location at a private estate in Jamaica.

2. Tubi x Black List Horror Initiative (National – Horror Screenwriting)

A partnership to discover a feature horror script for Tubi to purchase and develop, with intent to greenlight for production and distribution. The selected script will be purchased for no less than WGA upset price, with The Black List serving as executive producer.

3. James Laughlin Award (National – Poetry)

$5,000 prize recognizing a second book of poetry forthcoming in the next calendar year. Winner also receives an all-expenses-paid weeklong residency at The Betsy Hotel in Miami Beach, plus distribution of the winning book to approximately 1,200 Academy of American Poets members.

🎶 Music & Audio Production


4. Salt Lick Incubator (National – Emerging Musicians)

A nonprofit dedicated to helping emerging musicians build sustainable careers. Artist project grants range from $5,000 to $15,000 for projects such as producing songs/albums, creating music videos, developing social media assets, pressing vinyl, touring, or enhancing branding and marketing strategies.

5. Femme House Fellowship (National – Music Production)

Provides equitable access to resources and skills for starting a music career. Four fellows (two BIPOC + two LGBTQIA+ creators) receive one-on-one music training, personalized mentorship, lifetime platform support, financial assistance, gear, and in-person opportunities at major music events like Miami Music Week. Six-month program includes one hour per week of 1:1 music production instruction via Zoom.

6. MusiCares Emergency Fund (National – Music Industry Professionals)

Two- or four-week residencies for artists, ecological scientists, and scholars exploring connections to nature, land conservation, agriculture, and community building. 2027 theme: Process and Material—investigating the fundamentals of creative practice on a working ranch. Open to writers, visual artists, and those incorporating agricultural components into their research.

10. Ori Gallery Call for Art – "Sun Kissed" Exhibition (National – Black Diasporic Trans Artists)

Ori Gallery invites Black Diasporic Trans Artists to submit works exploring self-evolution, bodily autonomy, and intimacy. Exhibition theme examines how we create and grow into ourselves through self-curation over time. All mediums accepted.💰 Artist Fee: $800 per participating artist
