We sat down with one of the talented artists, NYNE, who has worked with our production company to explore how he navigates the unique challenges and opportunities of creating in 2025. As temperatures break records in 2025, how has your creative process adapted to climate urgency—whether materially, thematically, or emotionally?
It hasn't. I believe as artist we must remain in control of our process and stay true to doing things that we are connected to the things that make our art as unique as it is. However, I do prioritize ensuring that I am putting my truest emotions into my music, it Is important for the listener to be able to feel something when they hear my music.
Summer often demands productivity, yet our work as artists embraces contemplation. Share a moment when 'wasting time' led to your most unexpected breakthrough.
This is happens for me often. A large part of my creative process involves allowing myself to decompress from life to process my emotion through song. I view living life is naturally apart of the creative process, so there are days when I'm just sitting around watching a movie, show or playing a video game and out of the blue, a chord progression will hit me or a bass riff will get stuck in my head. From that spark comes a complete song idea.
What's one way you've learned to support fellow artists during 2025's isolating times?
The most recent way I've learned to support artist during this time is to really check on them. Like check on their mental health and really have true and honest conversations with them. Everything isn't about product and securing a collab, we're all going through real things, sometimes a conversation is exactly what we need.
These insights remind us that while the world around us continues to evolve at breakneck speed, the fundamental elements of authentic artistry remain constant: staying true to one's voice, embracing the creative potential in everyday moments, and prioritizing genuine human connection over transactional relationships. As we move forward in this complex landscape, it's clear that the artists who thrive are those who understand that their greatest strength lies not in adapting to every external pressure, but in maintaining their artistic integrity while fostering meaningful bonds within their creative community.
